There are so many small businesses you can run, but it makes sense to do something you like and enjoy and something you’re really good at. It also makes a lot of sense to work in a business that is very necessary and has a lot of clients, because the goal of any business is to make money, you see? For about 27 years I have been involved in the mobile car wash business and what started out as a small business with no location, out of my home, ended up being a huge business with franchises in 23 states. But the point is that it was all possible through a small home business that I started. Back in the old days when we were very little it was so much fun running the mobile car wash business and driving and cleaning cars and meeting other business owners all day long and learning about their businesses as well.

As I was doing this, it seemed pretty obvious that most small business owners had started their businesses and loved them and eventually came to hate them. But that was never the case with my mobile car wash business as it was fun getting up every morning and going to provide a service that everyone loved. I often felt like the portable hero of the city, brushing dirt off cars and putting a smile on everyone’s face. Consider all this in 2006.
