Wouldn’t all organizations and groups be better served and represented if their leaders were truly TAKING CARE OF? Unfortunately, too often, many, who are elected, selected, and / or promoted to leadership positions, only claim to be that way. whereas, unfortunately, they are often more concerned with their personal / political agenda, and / or self-interest, or, perhaps, they take the perceived path of least resistance! After more than four decades of involvement in nearly every aspect of leadership, from identifying and qualifying to training, developing, and consulting with thousands of actual and / or potential leaders, I realize, although many of the skills and assets that can be taught, the essence of an individual’s character is often more dependent on the specific individual and their personal integrity, etc. With this in mind, this article will briefly attempt to consider, examine, review and discuss, using the mnemonic approach, what this means and represents, and why it is important.

Before choosing someone, we must seriously / thoroughly consider whether an individual has a superior quality of character. Great leaders are responsible for coordinating the activities of their group, etc., and their emphasis should be on serving the common good.

2. Attitude; attention; articulate; behaviour: We need leaders, who have a genuine, positive, empowered attitude, but avoid the trap of wearing rose-colored glasses. The focus and attention must emphasize, consider, multiple viable options and alternatives, and have the strength, to strategically determine, the best plan of action, to move forward, move forward, while articulating an inspiring, motivating and unifying message!

3. Relevant; actually, really; Fundamental reason: If you really want to say what you say and are in a position to lead, you face reality and proceed in the most relevant way. You must be ready, willing and able to fully explain your reason for being, in a unifying and inspiring way!

Four. Integrity; ideals / ideology; innovate; imagination; perspectives: One can never be a real leader, unless / even, he maintains, absolute integrity, especially when it might be inconvenient to do so! His ideology must align with that of his organization, and he must have the personal insights to articulate his ideals, openly, with his constituents! Those, with a relevant and well-developed imagination, should be able to innovate, as needed, for the greater good.

5. Needs; nerve; nuances notice: If you are not meeting the needs of your group and stakeholders, it will not make a difference, for the better! It takes an individual, with the courage and willingness to address the specific nuances, to realize the best course of action – to choose from!

6. Generate goodwill; Greater good: Unless one really cares, he will probably not emphasize, generating goodwill, for the greater good!

Weather, TAKING CARE OF Leaders really care, both for their group and for the stakeholders, many others, who occupy some leadership positions, they simply affirm! Are you up to the task?
