How to Properly Detail Cars and Trucks

To properly detail cars and trucks, there are a few supplies you’ll need to collect. These things will help you thoroughly detail any car or truck that needs to be remade like new. Some things you will need are as follows.

You will need several cleaning cloths, Armorial Interior Cleaner, a bucket to hold clean, mild soapy water. In addition, you will need a mild dish detergent such as Ivory, small soft bristle cleaning brushes. A vacuum cleaner, paper towels, window cleaner, lots of cotton swabs, and a water hose.

The first thing you want to do is the most time consuming thing and get it out of the way. Take the Q-Tips and get into all the cracks and crevices, you can spray some of the interior cleaner on the Q-Tips if needed. Once this is done, you can take your cleaning rags and interior cleaner and mild dish detergent and water and wipe down the entire surface of the car or truck interior.

Clean from top to bottom umbrellas, doors, platforms, vacuum them, clean the inside edge of the doors from below. You can also check that by lifting the seats forward, there will also be dust and dirt. Next is for the windows to use the window cleaner and paper towels. Clean interior windows and rear view mirror; clean the dashboard with the window cleaner as well.

The next thing to clean is the seats, the seats can be cleaned according to what they are made of, if they are vinyl then you can use the interior cleaner, if they are fabric then you may have to use an upholstery cleaner . However, if the seats are leather then I would either use a leather cleaner or take the car and have the seats professionally cleaned.

You are now ready for the final parts, the exterior wash and the rims. Wash the car with a mild dish detergent and a soft cleaning cloth, then rinse and let dry. Then take the scrub brushes to the rims and use the interior cleaner on the rims to make them shine.
