Old School New Body – The Real Deal?

BE VERY AWARE of the problem of obesity and the health risks of aging and obesity, I have been researching various diets and exercise routines. I recently discovered the F4x regiment, also known as “Old School New Body”.

HEALTH PROBLEMS

Obesity is on the rise for a variety of reasons, the most obvious being lifestyle. Our lifestyle is one of sedentary life. The average American sits at a desk in front of a computer during the workday. Such a person comes home exhausted after a long trip and sits in an armchair and snacks on high-calorie pre-packaged foods that are devoid of nutrients and vitamins. No wonder obesity is a burgeoning condition.

One of the supposed responses to these problems that negatively affect quality of life is a program developed in the mid-20th century. It was recently discovered by fitness expert and fitness magazine editor Steve Holman. Combined with his experience, he developed the F4x system for those discerning people between the ages of 35 and 60.

PROGRAM COMPONENTS

The program is presented in an e-book, but the basics are four fundamental exercises. These include squats, bench presses, incline rows, and dumbbell upright rows. The exercises are recommended in different intervals, repetitions and series. Combined exercises take less than 90 minutes per week. In addition, the program provides tips for proper nutritional intake. The program is segmented into three sections:

1) LEAN: Many users of this protocol simply use the first phase and stick with it. In this phase you can lose ten to one hundred pounds. Perform a lighter variation of the standard exercise routine and follow the F4x LEAN meal plan.

2) FORM: Here you will increase your weight lifting routine and adjust your diet to add more protein. That way, you can maintain the weight you want and add strong, lean muscle to give you a sculpted appearance.

3) BUILD: Once you have lost weight and toned your body, you can move on to the building phase. Most participants do not advance to this phase, however some users like to bulk up. During this phase there doesn’t seem to be much change, but there is additional weight, reps, sets, and calorie burn.

Advantages:

This 14-chapter book is well organized.

The feeding system is similar to the Paleo Diet, natural, fast and effective.

· No need to enroll in a fitness program. You can exercise at home.

Cons:

· It is an eBook that, although comfortable, is not my favorite format.

· There are some spelling and grammatical errors.

THE TAKE AWAY

This “Old School New Body” protocol is the most effective multipurpose plan available. I am especially impressed with how quickly you can lose weight and tone your body safely and naturally.
