The Cracks in the Pound Melt Diet

OK, first let me say up front, I am in no way affiliated with Paul Sanders’ Pound Melter eBook nor am I selling it. As of today I just finished the first week of using it.

I will do a follow up article at the end of my first month to let you know my full results. The reason for this article is because I haven’t been able to find any reviews of anyone NOT trying to sell this product and I find it extremely strange. Supposedly over 88,000 people have done this diet and one would expect to find good and bad reviews on the internet. On the blogs that promote the E-Book for sale, I see questions from consumers but no one answers them. This tells me that the reviews are only on the eBook, but not from people who have actually followed the protocol described. They can’t answer the question because they haven’t actually done the diet themselves.

Let me share a bit about myself so you can judge for yourself if my review is credible or not.

I am a LifeSuccess Coach with a focus on Health and Wellness. Empowering people to not only look and feel their best, but also to be mentally age defying. My husband, I have been paying a lot of attention to nutrition and anti-aging for the last 7-8 years. I have never had a real problem with my weight until I was 40 years old. So no, there is no fantastic story here about me losing 100 pounds. I’m just an average woman, as she got older she started to gain 10lbs. every decade. I’ve always been self conscious about my appearance (I’ve always been told I look much younger than I am) and have worked to keep my weight these past 10 years at and around 130lbs.

When I gave birth to my last child at age 25, I only weighed 130. By the time I reached 40, I weighed 137-138. When I was 46 years old, I found a system through a company I was a distributor for that offered a high protein diet, low cards, and some amazing supplements. (No, I’m not here to sell you that system either) However, that system really worked. I got my weight down to 124 and kept it off for almost 1 year. I lost 15 pounds. in the first 30 days and then another 5 over the next month reaching 120 lbs. I couldn’t keep that. Within a week I was back up to 124, which is where I stayed eating healthy, but having my chocolate and ice cream now and then in moderation. I just looked at what I ate. But then I went back up to the low 130s the second year. I was fine with that. All of a sudden though, just before my 49th birthday, I started gaining weight at a rate that took me completely by surprise, and no matter what I did, I couldn’t keep my low 130s.

Seriously, even though I stuck perfectly to my high protein diet, the weight kept coming on. I would lose 2 pounds. and retrieve it immediately. If I stuck to an unhealthy caloric intake of around 900 kc, I stuck to it. But it just wasn’t how I wanted to live my life. I like food and I eat healthy. I didn’t want to be reduced to always dieting, especially if I didn’t see results.

I stopped dieting. I was just going to eat as healthy as I could and learn to accept that this weight was part of the “Change in Life” and was hormonal in nature. The last 6 months before my 50th birthday, my weight stabilized at 145. With the winter, I was able to hide it, most of it anyway. The problem was that my birthday is in the month of May and summer was approaching and I realized that for the first time in my life I was not going to be able to wear a bikini and I knew well enough that I was not going to like myself in one. single piece. I just didn’t know what else I could do. I have done the gym, I eat well, I diet. I’m tired of this YoYo. I know most of you are reading this whether you are 10, 20, 30, 50 or 100 pounds. Do you want to lose; You know EXACTLY what I’m talking about.

Then, a little over a week ago, I found out that I was going on a cruise in June 2015. Although I was excited, I also knew that I was going out mostly with a 30-year-old guy who had a sway. body! LOL, oh boy, was that going to make me self-conscious!

Then an email hits my desk the next day about the Pound Melter. After watching the video of him, it sounded exciting and definitely not the same as what they were giving us, just wrapped in a different package. So, I started doing my due diligence on Brown Fat. What I read and heard really got me excited about the possibilities that I could maybe lose 10 or 15 pounds. by June if the Libra Melter Diet worked. For $40.00 I was willing to give it up! Nothing else worked!

I went ahead and ordered and read the entire Pound Melter eBook. And the next day I started the Protocol. However, I am VERY skeptical. But, her protocol is definitely all healthy, good-for-you foods. So why am I so skeptical? Because there is nothing to back up their results. All the reviews that exist are only from people who sell it. There are a Facebook page or two and again no honest or real reviews.

Then, there is the protocol itself. Paul Sanders has very specific times when he should eat food; no explanation at times. Start the day between 7 am and 9 am Well, what if someone starts the day much earlier? What happens if one wakes up late? Or are they on the night shift? It does not address this topic. I have now emailed support asking you to clarify this twice. And the answer on both occasions is vague. Just this morning, I emailed him to see if I could get a specific response. The protocol is, for the most part, self-explanatory EXCEPT there are at least 4 non-typical food items and it doesn’t explain how they should be eaten or prepared. There should be a FAQ on these things.

It does not mention if you can substitute foods with the same foods in that food group. They answered that question in a support email I sent. But again, in my opinion, that’s a common question and it should be in the FAQ. Why is it like pulling a tooth to get an answer?

Then there’s the fact that nowhere in your Pound Melter ebook does it recommend eating the foods that actually INCREASE the number of brown fat cells one has. It seems to assume that everyone has enough brown fat cells. This is simply not true. As I discovered in my own due diligence research, brown fat cells are mostly found in leaner people, women, and people with low blood glucose levels.

I just don’t understand why you don’t mention this in your Pound Melter ebook. The list of foods that have the hormone needed to naturally increase brown fat cells is a short list.

Since there is no way to know how many brown fat cells one has, it would make sense to recommend eating these foods in addition to his protocol, since, as he states time and time again, there ARE NO food limitations.

The other challenge I have is that while Paul Sanders says it’s all about making this program affordable, the upsells one has to go through at checkout are ridiculous and then you have quite a few sales pitches on the E- Book. . I am not against anyone making money. But having sales pitches after sales definitely makes me question your motives and your credibility.

What is certain is that green leafy vegetables and fruits rich in water help to cool down the body temperature. There is enough science behind it. So the question is, by following the Paul Sanders protocol and the Pound Melter diet, can the body really be taught to stay at the lower body temperature long enough to activate the brown fat cells and will your maintenance plan actually maintain our body temperature there?

So my goal here is this, to not just follow your plan for the next 30 days or so, but mix in a few other things I know about nutrition, plus what I recently learned about Brown Fat, and write a follow up. article to this one in about 3 weeks.

I want to give the consumer a real honest review. If you have tried or are currently doing the protocol, I would love to hear from you with your results so far.

My first week results are: I have lost 1 lbs. (Paul Sanders states that it takes about 30 days to kick in, so I’m okay with this) Even though I’ve eaten all the foods as per the protocol, I tend to wake up later and go to bed earlier, so I’ve changed the times in accept. I’m not hungry at all. Other than what is stated in the Pound Melter protocol, I don’t eat anything else for breakfast and for lunch and dinner I usually have a high protein shake or some other protein. I eat some of the foods listed to increase my brown fat cells, throughout the day, in addition to drinking a minimum of 64 oz. of water or other nutritious drink. In my shakes I use Chobani’s Nonfat Greek Yogurt and Unsweetened Almond Milk and Truvia as a sweetener.

I truly believe that science has really stumbled upon some viable information about our bodies that will help a lot of people lose weight once we can nail it down. If the Pound Melter Protocol doesn’t work, at least it’s a healthy way to eat for people and can start them on a path of healthier lifestyles, one they may not have found unless they were on the quest like me.
