Tips to eradicate cockroaches

For over 400 million years, cockroaches have been lurking across the face of the earth and, believe it or not, they are even more productive than the human race. In the United States alone, there are more than 57 identified species of cockroaches and among the 57, Blatella germanica is the most common. Blatella germanica is the species of cockroach that is most seen in the kitchen and bathroom of our home. Let’s be honest; Having roach control shouldn’t be a chore if you want to keep your home clean.

Cockroaches generally do not crawl in the morning, as these creatures are nocturnal in nature. But the morning does not limit the eggs. You can confirm an infestation in your home when you find roach eggs all over your house. The cockroach egg is brown in color and oval in shape. Although a female cockroach can only lay one or two eggs, each egg contains 40 new roach eggs.

In all species of cockroaches, they all carry a certain amount of danger and threat to you and your family. Cockroaches can carry a number of bacteria and transmit them to humans, such as typhoid fever and dysentery.

To restore order and cleanliness in your home, be sure to deprive these pests of food and water resources. Store all food or leftovers in tightly closed containers, or better yet, place them inside the refrigerator. Roaches like water, so be sure to dry the entire sink, cover all leaks, and make sure everything is dry. The last thing would be to keep the garbage out of the house every night as cockroaches along with ants and other critters love to swarm in the garbage when night comes. Cockroaches can live without food for several days, but eventually, without the nutrition they need, they will die.

When cockroaches declare war in the home, you can start using sprays. Windex (window cleaner) can be very effective at killing roaches in a matter of minutes. You can also put boric acid under the sink, all over the outside of the refrigerator, or in any particular place where the roach would run. But remember that you must be careful when using Boric Acid if you have pets at home, as well as when using the spray, since this can be dangerous for the health of your pets.

Clean, this will be the most unlikely environment in which a cockroach would like to live. They will have a hard time finding crumbs or water, or any food sources. This can also make it easier to see roach eggs and throw them away instantly.

Catnip can also help in pest control. It has been proven that rubbing the leaves and placing them in places where the cockroaches stay can make them disappear. You can also pour hot water on a roach you see crawling around your house, this can kill it quickly.

In addition to trying to kill and control pests in your home, there is always the exterminator. Calling a professional pest control service or any Tampa pest control management might be the best option for you.
