* Keep your lawn and yard tidy, even if you have to hire someone to do it.

* Exterior lighting makes the house cozy in the evenings when many buyers stop by the properties.

* Eliminate kitchen clutter. Keep the sink clean, free of dishes. Clean the fridge and degrease the oven. Take drastic measures to achieve a spartan look.
* Get rid of any odors. Get rid of the ashtrays. Use an air freshener if the house doesn’t smell good. Eliminates the smell of dogs, cats, children, spicy food, etc. Smells are hard to explain and are always noticeable. If you must, bake cookies or an apple pie – a good smell for open house!
* Store small kitchen appliances and other items off countertops and tables.
* Arrange closets and cabinets so they don’t look crowded and burst at the seams.
